Today, we came together as a school community to officially open our wonderful new playground and dedicate it to our much-loved and dearly missed colleague, Sarah Halpenny.
The children sang a beautiful song in memory of Sarah and in recognition of her invaluable contribution to wellbeing in our school. They also placed colourful ribbons on the playground gate as a touching tribute. Sarah's family and friends joined us for this special occasion, making the day even more meaningful.
The playground was blessed by Fr Gerry, and a school scrapbook, filled with memories and messages, was presented to the Halpenny family.
We would like to sincerely thank everyone who helped make today possible, with special thanks to Ms Brennan and Ms Meade for organising such a thoughtful and memorable event in honour of our dear friend, who is missed beyond measure.
We also extend our heartfelt thanks to the Parents' Association, whose hard work and dedication helped bring this wonderful playground to fruition. It will be enjoyed by our children for many years to come and will stand as a lasting tribute to Sarah's legacy within our school community.
